Autistic burnout is a state of intense physical, mental and emotional exhaustion that can develop when an autistic person has been coping with prolonged stress, sensory overload, masking and demands that consistently overburden them. It looks different for every individual but may involve fatigue, reduced ability to manage everyday tasks, emotional overwhelm, difficulty making decisions and a greater need for solitude.
Autistic burnout is more than ordinary tiredness that can be resolved by taking a short break and recovery involves understanding what contributed to it and finding ways to reduce demands, accommodate sensory needs, unmask safely and create more sustainable ways of living.

You can also call me on |phone| if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
All enquires are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential and uses secure phone and email services.
I work from private offices located in a quiet part of Bristol City Centre BS1, and see clients from central Bristol and Redcliffe as well as the surrounding St Paul's, Southville and Bedminster areas. I will provide location details when we arrange our counselling sessions.
